SALAM CONCERT SERIES
The Salam Concert Series is GHEF’s interactive, philanthropic platform that merges music, poetry, and community dialogue to explore and preserve intangible cultural heritage. Originally launched under the name Salam to Syria, it began by spotlighting the resilience and artistic legacy of displaced Syrian communities. Over time, it has grown into an international series, fostering conversation around identity, memory, and healing through the shared experience of live performance.
Hosted in venues from Istanbul to Zurich — including a vibrant 2025 event at Trittligasse 4 — Salam serves as a meeting point for youth, newcomers, and established artists from shared backgrounds, creating opportunities for mentorship and intergenerational connection. Beyond performances, the series facilitates nuanced dialogue on migration, belonging, and psychosocial well-being, all while raising critical funds to sustain GHEF’s educational and community-based health programs.
We invite you to explore highlights of Salam, and to contact us about hosting, sponsoring, or adapting these concerts to engage your own community in culturally resonant discussions that advance health equity.
